If you just smile.

The weekend was starting off pretty nice.
Jake cooked me dinner, so I baked him some apple cobbler!

Get a load of that ooey gooey goodness!

On Friday morning Maura came over.
We grabbed our wheels and took off into the sunshine.
Nothing beats hittin' the streets with my main gal Mau-town.

We even crossed Colfax at the light like responsible girls.

Maura suggested we head over to 23rd Avenue so we could drive by these flowers. I believe she said "they look like if match sticks & candy corns had a baby".
Silly girl! We pulled over so she could touch them of course!

I had a suggestion after that. Peep my "suggestion" face.

"What if we did tricks on our bike down this block?"

She hasn't said no to one of my hair brained ideas yet! I like her trick.
Pretty sophisticated.

Whoops! Wasn't ready.

Ok go!

Party on Mau-town & party on J-Phi!

We started back home when we noticed it was sprinkling.

Oh shoot! Rain!!!

I wish you could see all the rain drops on my glasses.

Since the rain squashed our ride, we decided to get our feet wet.

They look like pink gumballs, lol.

To top it off we went out for Pho!
Awesome tiny mushroom.

Last but not least we stopped off at the Piñateria.
What! Darth piñata???

Hello Kitty! Mickey Mouse, Woody & Spongebob!

Is Hornitos a tequila? No lo sé.
Thank you Spanish English online translator.
Que bueno.

Elephants & Dinosaurs!

Dino?!

Batman?!
This place is wonderful!

Maura has a thing for Unicorns!

On our way home I got a 911 call from Audrey.
"Dude, I blew out my tire. Can you and Jake come to my work and help me?"
What the heck?!

Good God lady!

We where surprise she didn't have two flats! Look at that thing!

My sister is so amazingly hilarious. I love the crap out of her!
This weekend wasn't over yet, we had a to put a cherry on top!
Saturday Jake & I headed over to the Westword Music Showcase.
We saw King Rat, Del tha Phunky Homosapien, Yo La Tengo (sort of) & CHROMEO!!
If you've never heard of Chromeo, I suggest swinging by your local record shop & grabbing an album.
You can't go wrong with their dance beats!

Here's a little "Hot Mess"

and some "Night by Night"

I was amazed at all the Chromeo love.
But even more amazed to catch this wicked dance battle.

Sunday was Fathers Day. We didn't get the chance to hang with Jake's dad Kevin, so we met Cheryl, Audrey & Jonny at Amato's Ale House for dinner to celebrate Poppie. It was nice to be together and just be a family.

If I had to pick one thing in life to call my favorite, it would be a smile.

Split Happens

Triston and Kiandra are here visiting from Arizona.

Grammie and I thought it would be fun to take them swimming. Seeing at the temperature was above 90, it was the perfect day to go. We packed the car and headed for Anderson Park in Wheat Ridge.

Triston & Nate entertained us by doing tricks off the diving board.

Kiandra swam laps around the kids pool.

P.S. If you have never been to Anderson Park, they have THE BEST kids pool I've ever seen!

Jonny and his "boo-boo's" aka blueberries.

We lounged in the sun eating PB&J's, my FAVORITE sandwich :o)

Jonny and I walked over to the water slide and watched all the big kids.

Awesome sunscreen face!

Awesome potato chip face!

The next day we headed to Elitch Lanes for a little bowling. The Jubilee center at Our Merciful Savior was having a fundraising event. Almost the whole family turned out to knock down some pins.

Yes it is possible to bowl with a baby in your arms.

Look at my boys! So handsome!

Kiandra looks like she should be on an episode of "Blossom".

Even Grammie gave me a cheese face!

My main man Josh was giving high fives and slapping booties.

I'm not really sure what's going on here...

I decided it was time to show everyone what's up with my skillz.

Look at my flawless form! (and my cute booty)

That's right, I victory danced.

Next was Mr. Phillips

23 MPH! What the heck?!?

Audrey was all smiles.

Jonny didn't want to leave Jake. This is probably one of the cutest photos EVER!

Triston is such a nerd.

Balloon tied down to ear.

...and I'm not really sure what's going on here.

See. He didn't want to leave Jake.

We couldn't go bowling without giving Jonny a turn. He was actually pretty good with that crutch.

Peep my babe in action.

We had fun this weekend with all the kids. I'm glad we got the chance!
