Ready, Set, Go!

Jacob had a work conference in Beaver Creek last week and guess who got to tag along for the ride? Yessssssssssss!

I love the Eisenhower Tunnel. Its one of my favorite places on Earth!

Have you ever tried holding your breath through it? Impossible I tell you!

Oddly enough I have never been to Beaver Creek.

Our condo was flippin' sweet!

Holy hell what a view!!!

Uummm.. ok? Our door... uuhhhh?

Jake & I decided to take a walk around the hotel.
We stumbled upon this RADICAL 80's pinball machine.

The sound was super shitty, but it was fun!

I am so cool...

I didn't know they sell Posada's in a vending machine.
Don't worry Luis, we'll save you!

Clearly someone at this hotel was smoking crack.
No alcohol allowed on premises...

...and on the other side of the fence, a different story!

We settled in for the night & built a fire in our fireplace.

Yes I am the nerd that took pictures of the whole room.
The next day when Jake was done with work we went into Avon to get some supplies.
We ran into Beaver Liquors. Liquor in the front, poker in the rear?
Hardy har har!

The next day I took a solo walk around Beaver Creek Village. I hiked to the very top.
The place was EMPTY!

It felt like "The Shining" during the snowy season.

Only the weather was SO super beautiful.

I don't know why I took this photo.
Maybe because I was shocked to see a pay phone still in tact.

So I walked the river walk back to our digs...

...and ran across some really beautiful sculptures.

Baby backpack. Boom.

I'm so glad that Jake could include me in his work trip.
It was AMAZING!

After we got back to Denver, I re-packed my bags for another trip.
I was off to Austin, TX to see my STACEY!

Stacey & Brad took me straight to downtown Austin.
We hit up Kung-Fu bar for a bit.
I was not at all surprised that "Pumped up Kicks" was playing when we walked in.
That song is haunting me!

Duh! Chuck Norris is Kung Fu...

After the bar, we walked to Bess Bistro, owned by Sandra Bullock.
DELICIOUS!!!! Best mac-n-cheese I have EVER had!

Brad asked if we wanted to grab (we meaning Brad & I, cause Stacers is prego) another drink, so we headed to the Driskill Hotel on 6th Street. This had to be the busiest street I've ever seen at 11pm! No joke!

Brad & Stacey

Just another day in Texas... sittin' on a cow.

The next day we headed for San Antonio.

What is there to do in San Antonio you might ask? Well plenty!
First the REAL Alamo! (Shout out to ladies fort night!)

The story of the Alamo is unreal. Thirteen fateful days in 1836.
If you don't know anything about the Alamo, read up on it. The history is amazing.
All the photos I took are from the outside, cause you're not allowed to photograph inside.

P.S. It's really awkward to take a photo by yourself. Especially next to giant cacti.

I really like Brad. He makes Stacey so happy. He's super funny & he sings A LOT.
A-OK in Jess' book!

Okay I was REALLY behaved up until this point.

Across the street from the Alamo was this beauty.
Just a little reminder of home!

Next up, River Walk.

Other than seeing Stacey & Brad, this was my FAVORITE part of the trip.

Again... slightly awkward.

This photo looks really weird. Its the ceiling of a bridge we walked under.
The light is the waters reflection.

We bought our tickets for the boat tour.

And headed down the San Anton'.

This is probably the BEST mosaic mural I've ever seen!

Slightly less awkward.

No freakin' way! Selena!

The next day we had brunch & tea at "The Domain", which is a shopping center much like Belmar.

We muddled around town, taking our time & ended up at a Cheapo discs.

Uh hi :o) Here's me with the bathroom key. Um... weird :o)

The entire time I was in Austin with my peeps, I kept pointing out street art.
Outside Cheapo, there was plenty to photograph.

As we where leaving something across the street caught my eye.
Umm.. was-sat over there guys?

Holy CRAP! We hit the MOTHER LOAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This place was unreal. It went up three stories and at the top was a CASTLE!

Awe. Just plain old jaw-dropping awe.

BTW is this Jeremy Fish?

Are you being serious with me right now?

And did someone really tag over Obey?

Who are you?

LOL, M&J = Maura & Jess!

What are you?

Just being able to stand where they stood. How lucky am I?!?

All that spray paint made us hungry. So Brad took us to his favorite BBQ joint.
He was excited, can you tell?

Yum!

Yeah baby!

Two cutest Texans I know!

Mama bear got busy on them ribs.

I was super sad to go, but so grateful for the time I got to spend with them.
Now that I'm home, Jake and I are back in the swing of things.
I wonder what's next?!?
