Photo Challenge Day 2

Day 02 - A photo of your favorite building.

I've never laid eyes on this building myself, but plan to visit Barcelona someday so that I may. Antoni Gaudi starting building La Sagrada Familia in 1882. To this day it is still incomplete. One website I read said that the projected end date is 2026, the centennial of Gaudi's death. If I do end up in Spain, I plan to see most of Gaudi's buildings, parks, walls and bridges. Super interesting!

30 Days of Photos - Part Deux

Maura and I decided that the best way for each of us to blog in between random life posts was to come up with another 30 days of photos. We compiled a pretty decent list. Lets kick off this 30 days proper!

A picture of you that is embarrassing.

Best engagement photo ever. Should have put this one in the invites.

Best use of moon boots and a Taos kitty shirt.
You cant see it, but I also had a headband across my forehead. Awesome!

While these where only two embarrassing photos I could find of myself, I'm positive that there are MANY MANY more out there.

Gnome Sweet Gnome

I went walking with Maura and Lola on Tuesday. Destination Berkeley Park.

Lakeside Amusement Park looked really cool from the lake.

It brought back memories of being a kid. My dad REALLY wanted me to ride the "Wild Chipmunk" with him, so he stuffed t.p. into my shoes to make me tall enough to ride. I remember being so scared but I proved to my dad I am tough. We rode 2 times.

On our way back to Lola's house I snapped this picture.

I thought a Gnome should live here.

We where almost there and Maura suggested we lengthen our walk by heading down to Perry and then back up to Tennyson.

I've seen this house before, wish it was all mine!

The mention of a Gnome house must have been an Omen. We stumbled across this Gnome village built in someone's side yard. It's complete with a bar, general store and church.

Look! A wind generator! LOL.

But that wasnt ALL!

There is a Golden Gate bridge that makes sure all Gnomes get home on time for dinner!

On Perry Street is the old Huebl home. I remember spending the night here as a kid.

We use to play "Classic Connection" on their computer.

I always was stoked when I won the 1988 Chrysler LaBaron. Oh yeah!!

I guess no matter where you are in the world, nothing feels like Gnome Sweet Gnome.

Sometimes you just need to walk by it and remember.

30 is a Breeze

I had a hot asian date pick me up for a very special brunch.

Breeze is turning 30!

We met our favorite gals at Root Down. It was the best brunch I've ever had!

Everything was so tasty & pretty.

Next we went for Mani's & Pedi's.

Taylor and Sara couldnt come with us, so Morgan jumped in on the fun.

P.S. Morgan is looking for a roommate if you know anyone else in the same boat.

I love relaxing.

You cant do brunch and a spa without stopping off for cupcakes!

Happy Cakes for the Happy Birthday Girl!

We love you Breezer!!! Happy 30th Birthday!

It's a Wishard thing...

I was surprised to wake up and find snow on the ground, so I scraped off my car and headed to work.

On the way home I saw my "Squeakel-ganger" so I had to take a photo!

I picked up Jake and we headed to the Huebl's for a Wishard family dinner.

Corned beef and cabbage! Yum!

Jonny & I played on the stairs for awhile.

Almost everyone was there!

Peep the sweet treats that Penny & I made. Apricot Coconut Macaroons & Cherry Coconut cookies!

Shavonne made us cupcakes. Aren't they pretty!? She is going to pastry school.

Dinner isn't complete without cheesecake!

Maura & Austyn played Mario Cart on the wii...

and Uncle Scott was chillin'.

Even Aaron gave me a pose.

Uncle Mike made sure he got some Jonny time.

And Aunt Sofia and I had some Jonny giggle time.

I dont know how she did it, but he was cracking up.

Everyone had a good time.

We even had a riddle/scavenger hunt and Penny found the prize!

I cant wait to spend more time like this with my family. We rock!

Photo Challenge Day 30

Day 30 - A picture of someone you miss.

Before Nate and Jen moved back to Hawaii we all lived together. While living at the Clay Street house they adopted a dog. I was lucky enough for them to like the name I came up with. Andre.  In a small way, Jake & I felt like he was our dog too. When Nate & Jen moved to Hawaii they took Andre with them, but we kept Izzy as she sort of adopted us. They had all only been in Hawaii a short time when there was an unfortunate accident that took Andre's life. They have him buried on their property, and Jake and I make sure to go say hello every time we visit. I miss that silly dog.

Mardi Gras Pancakes

Our Merciful Savior had a pancake dinner on Fat Tuesday to raise money for the kids summer camp.

So Micaela and I headed over to show our support.

I was so fascinated with the utensils. They where made out of wood, and flat like popsicle sticks!

Cheryl later told me that O.M.S. raised enough money to send all the kids! YEAY!!!
