I've been pretty busy lately and not been able to post any blogs in this New Year.
Hopefully I can get my act together and keep up as usual.
Speaking of getting my act together, I have made my 2012 resolution a commitment to becoming a better cook. In the past, my dad was the one to hold up this end of the family tradition, but when he left us, I decided to take charge of this recipe.
On New Years day, anyone who feels like celebrating
comes over for Egg Rolls & Carne!
I chopped and chopped and chopped and chopped,
until my house looked like the set of a Food Network show!
I cant tell you EXACTLY what's in the Egg Rolls, cause that's a family secret!
Success!!
The next week was the Stock Show parade. They come right down the block of my office building. Its pretty funny to see cattle and horse making their way down a usually busy lodo street.
Awesome!!!
Holy cow I want this outfit!
It's not everyday that you get to see this!
Or this!
I think this was my favorite picture of the day. What a treat!
A few weeks after the parade, some of the girls got together and rented a Suite at the Hotel Monaco for a night.
Why would you spend that many clams for just one night, you might ask?
Well, because we had a mission in mind. Boudior photos.
There is no way in HELL I would post the photos to my blog, but I will show you what 8 grown ass women can do to a hotel Suite in 12 hours.
You can decide for yourself what everything is around the room.
Exhibit A: A clean room upon arrival
Exhibit B: The "prop" chair
Exhibit C: Heels, heels and more heels
Exhibit D: My "chucks" making their way into the heel pile
Exhibit E: The bathroom vanity
Exhibit F: Random bed pic
Exhibit G: The shots of tequila have set in and the pictures get more random.
Exhibit H: Drinks
Exhibit I: The Suite post photo shoot.
Yup, that's how we ladies roll!
Then came the snow!!!!
I used all the features on my camera to try and
capture just how beautiful the snow on our tree is.
With flash.
Without
Redeye
Delayed flash
All up in the tree!
I hadn't really taken any photos from then until this weekend.
(About two weeks in between snow storms)
Then the mother of all storms hit Denver.
On February 3rd, it snowed 18 inches at our house!
Can you find Izzy?
There she is!
Crazy animal, thinks she's a snow bunny or something!
Since my office closed, I got right to my next project. Baking treats for "Valentines for Sudan". My mother in law Penny hosts this event every February. Its a fundraiser for the "lost boys" of Sudan. She raised enough money to free 50 slaves!
Penny, you truly are amazing, so you deserve the best Bee's Treats!
Non-dairy brownies with giant chocolate chips.
Probably the best brownies I've ever made!
Cinnamon Buns!!!!!
I had to slap SEVERAL hands away from these bad boys!
Check out my bunz, teeheehee!
So far the New Year has been interesting!
I promise lots of new blogs in the 2012 calendar!
